This Refund & Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding refunds and returns for transactions conducted through the Escrowfy platform. As an escrow service for digital and physical products, we have established this policy to ensure fair and transparent handling of refund requests.
2. Escrow Protection
Escrowfy provides an escrow service where:
- Buyer funds are held securely in escrow until the transaction is completed successfully
- Sellers must deliver the product or service as described before funds are released
- Both parties have the opportunity to verify the transaction before completion
This escrow mechanism is designed to protect both buyers and sellers and minimize the need for refunds by ensuring transactions are completed as agreed.
3. Refund Eligibility
3.1. For Digital Products
Refunds for digital products may be issued under the following circumstances:
- The delivered product significantly differs from the seller's description
- The digital product is non-functional, corrupted, or cannot be accessed
- The seller fails to deliver the product within the agreed timeframe
- The product violates our Terms of Service or intellectual property rights
- The transaction is canceled before the product is delivered
3.2. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will generally not be provided in the following situations:
- The buyer has already downloaded, used, or accessed the digital product
- The buyer has provided incorrect information needed for product delivery
- The buyer simply changes their mind after receiving a product that matches the description
- The buyer fails to respond to delivery confirmation requests within 7 days
- The transaction has been completed and funds have been released to the seller (outside of dispute resolution period)
4. Dispute Resolution Process
4.1. Buyer-Initiated Disputes
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please follow these steps:
- Contact the seller directly through our messaging system to attempt resolution
- If no resolution is reached within 3 days, you may open a formal dispute through your transaction dashboard
- Provide clear details about the issue, including any evidence (screenshots, documentation)
- The seller will have 3 days to respond to the dispute
- If both parties cannot reach an agreement, either party may escalate the dispute for admin review
4.2. Admin Review
When a dispute is escalated to admin review:
- Our support team will review all evidence and communications
- Both parties may be asked to provide additional information
- A decision will be made based on our policies and the evidence provided
- The decision will be final and binding
5. Refund Processing
5.1. Refund Methods
Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction when possible:
- For wallet balance purchases, funds will be returned to your Escrowfy wallet
- For cryptocurrency payments, refunds will be processed to the same wallet address used for payment, or to your Escrowfy wallet balance
5.2. Refund Timeframe
Once a refund is approved:
- Wallet balance refunds are typically processed immediately
- Cryptocurrency refunds may take 1-3 business days to process
Please note that after we process the refund, it may take additional time for the funds to appear in your account depending on your payment provider.
5.3. Partial Refunds
In some cases, we may issue partial refunds if:
- Only part of an order is eligible for a refund
- A compromise resolution is reached during dispute resolution
- The admin review determines a partial refund is the fair resolution
6. Platform Fees
Please note the following regarding platform fees in refund situations:
- If a transaction is canceled before completion, platform fees will be refunded
- If a dispute is resolved in favor of the buyer after delivery, the platform fee is non-refundable
- Transaction fees charged by payment processors or cryptocurrency networks are non-refundable
7. Seller Protection
To protect sellers from fraudulent refund claims:
- Buyers must provide clear evidence to support refund claims
- Sellers will have the opportunity to respond to all refund requests
- A pattern of fraudulent refund requests from a buyer may result in account suspension
- Once funds are released from escrow, they cannot be recalled except in cases of proven fraud
8. Policy Modifications
We reserve the right to modify this Refund & Return Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.
